Vikrama Simhapuri University, Nellure: An Overview

Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU), Nellore, is located in Andhra Pradesh. The University paved the way for six new Universities in six districts in Andhra Pradesh.
The University is temporarily located in the premises of VR College at Nellore. The construction works of the University are progressing in the 62 acres of land provided by the government of Andhra Pradesh at kakutur in Nellore.

The university was established in 2008 with six courses. The courses instituted during the academic year 2008-2009 by the Monitoring and Development Committee of the University are M.Sc. Marine Biology, M.Sc. Organic Chemistry, M.A. English, M.S.W. Master of Social Work, M.B.A Business Management, and M.C.A. Computer Science.
The Andhra Pradesh Government passed a G.O. that all the Colleges in Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore District which are then affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University are affiliated to VSU.

As per this G.O, SVU PG Centre in Kavali, NBKR Engineering College in Vidyanagar, 52 Degree and PG Colleges, 12 MBA/MCA Colleges, V.R.Law College, 12 B.Ed Colleges, 2 oriental colleges in SPSR Nellore District came under VSU.

The present Vice Chancellor of the University is C.R. Visweswara Rao and the Registrar is V. Narayana Reddy.
