Krishna University: An Overview

Krishna University, named after river Krishna, is established on 2008 at Machilipatnam Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh. The foundation stone was laid by Dr.Y Rajasekhar Reddy, the Chief Minister of the State. The campus is spread around 200 acres of land. The University has its headquarters in a town called town called Machilipatnam. Krishna University particularly offers higher education to the people in Krishna District.

Establishment of Krishna University

Krishna University has been established according to the Andhra Pradesh Act.No.4 off 1991, G.O’ Ms. No.89 Higher Education (U.E.II) and G.O Ms. No.109, Higher Education (U.E.II) department.
The first Vice Chancellor of Krishna University is M K Durga Prasad, the Professor of Acharya Nagarguna University.
